A heinous crime has sent shockwaves through the village of Rawatpura Khurd in the Kulphaad police station area of Mahooba district, where a son has been apprehended for the brutal murder of his mother with an axe.

Details of the Incident

The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on September 23rd, when Mohan Singh Yadav (25) attacked his mother, Moola Devi, with an axe. The victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Upon receiving information about the crime, the police department was immediately alerted. Local police and the field unit arrived at the crime scene promptly to collect evidence. The body of the deceased was subjected to a post-mortem examination after completing the necessary inquest procedures.

Investigation and Arrest

A case has been registered at the Kulphaad police station under crime number 224/2026, invoking Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Following stringent directives from Superintendent of Police Shashank Singh for the immediate arrest of the accused son and recovery of the murder weapon, a special team was formed.

The team acted swiftly and successfully apprehended the accused, Mohan Singh Yadav, near the Mudhari railway crossing. During the interrogation and subsequent search, the police also recovered the axe used in the murder.

Key personnel involved in this commendable operation include Station House Officer Awadhesh Kumar Mishra, Head Constable Sumit Kumar Yadav, Constable Havan Kumar, and Constable Vicky Chaudhary. After gathering evidence and making the arrest, the accused Mohan Singh Yadav has been sent to judicial custody.

According to police officials, further legal proceedings are underway, and all evidence will be presented in court as per protocol.
