Mahoba: Teen Girl Dies by Suicide in Empty House, Police Investigate

Tragic Incident in Bacherchhar Village

A deeply distressing incident has emerged from Mahoba district in Uttar Pradesh, where an 18-year-old girl took her own life by hanging herself in an empty house. The incident occurred on Sunday in Bacherchhar village, under the jurisdiction of the Ajner police station.

The victim was alone at home at the time of the incident, as her family members were working in the fields. According to her family, they had all gone to the fields in the morning. Upon their return around 4 PM, they realized the teenager had not come out of her room. Concerned, they went to the room on the second floor, where they discovered her hanging from a noose.

Investigation Underway

Following the report of the incident, the local Ajner police promptly arrived at the scene. They immediately took possession of the girl's body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Station House Officer Vinod Kumar stated that information was received about a young woman committing suicide by hanging herself in Bacherchhar village.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, and the reasons for the suicide are yet to be determined. The police are thoroughly investigating the matter. Further action will be taken only after receiving a written complaint from the family and the post-mortem report.
