Mahoba: MLC Urges Citizens to Enroll in Voter List

MLC Inspects Voter List Revision Campaign
Mahoba, October 24, 2026: Legislative Council Member (MLC) Jitendra Singh Sengar inspected the voter list revision campaign at the Government Girls' Inter College polling center in Charkhari Nagar, Mahoba. During the inspection, he made a fervent appeal to eligible citizens to enroll their names in the voter list to strengthen democracy.
MLC Sengar emphasized that to ensure no eligible person is deprived of their right to vote, everyone should be aware and ensure their names are added to the list in a timely manner. On the occasion of the special revision day organized by the Election Commission, MLC Sengar visited the polling station and thoroughly reviewed the voter list.
Encouraging Voter Enrollment and Corrections
He urged citizens present at the center to check their names and encouraged eligible voters who have not yet been included in the list to register. MLC Sengar clarified that eligible citizens whose names are not yet on the list should fill out Form-6 and submit it to their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) following the prescribed procedure.
For corrections in the voter list, he stated that Form-8 can be used. Additionally, MLC Jitendra Singh Sengar informed that if there is any error in the name, address, or other details in the voter list, Form-8 can be filled out and submitted for amendment. He also urged the employees working at the booth level to make voters aware of this process and provide necessary assistance in including their names in the list.
Aware Voters are the Foundation of Strong Democracy
MLC Sengar stated that every single vote holds special significance in a democracy, and aware voters are considered the true foundation of a strong democracy. He also urged the citizens of the area to ensure that not only their own names but also the names of eligible individuals within their families and neighborhoods are registered in the voter list. The aim is to ensure that no eligible voter is deprived of exercising their right to vote in the upcoming elections.
