Mahadev Family's Third Grand Kanwar Yatra Sees 350 Devotees Perform Jalabhishek

Third Annual Kanwar Yatra Held in Deori
On the auspicious occasion of Sawan month, the Mahadev Family organized its third consecutive grand Kanwar Yatra in Deori town. This religious ceremony saw participation from approximately 350 Shiva devotees.
The devotees embarked on a walk from Barman, carrying sacred water from the Narmada River, to perform Jalabhishek (water offering) to Lord Shiva at the Pashupatinath Temple in Phuta Mandir. This tradition, now in its third year, aims to spread Sanatan culture, religious faith, and devotion to Lord Shiva.
Devotees of All Ages Participate
Participants in the Kanwar Yatra ranged from 7 to 45 years of age, including both youth and senior Shiva devotees. Throughout the procession, the pilgrims created a devotional atmosphere with chants of victory for Lord Shiva, inspiring local citizens.
Captivating Floats and Welcoming Citizens
Upon entering Deori town, the Kanwar Yatra proceeded through various routes. A special feature of the procession was the display of various captivating floats related to Lord Shiva, which attracted the attention of devotees and local residents alike.
A large number of townspeople gathered to witness the floats and the Kanwar pilgrims. Locals welcomed the Kanwar pilgrims with showers of flowers and enthusiastic cheers at various points along the route.
Devotional Jalabhishek at Pashupatinath Temple
The Kanwar pilgrims, carrying the sacred water from the Narmada River, performed the Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva at Deori's Pashupatinath Temple with adherence to rituals and complete devotion. The temple premises resonated with the joyous slogans of 'Har-Har Mahadev' and 'Bam-Bam Bhole'.
Following the Jalabhishek, arrangements were made for the distribution of prasad (blessed food) to all the devotees. The event saw a significant turnout of esteemed citizens, women, and youth, transforming the occasion into a massive display of public participation.
