Utilizing advanced technological evidence, CCTV footage, informant networks, and scientific methods, police across various districts successfully confiscated a total of 124 stolen vehicles.

These operations led to the exposure of several inter-district and inter-state vehicle theft syndicates, resulting in numerous arrests. According to information received from the Police Headquarters, this extensive campaign represents a significant step towards reducing vehicle thefts and bolstering public safety.

The police's swift actions and the application of modern technology have expedited the apprehension of thieves, thereby aiding in curbing crime across the state.

Key Operations Across Districts

Khargone

The district police busted an inter-state motorcycle theft gang, arresting three individuals. Approximately 17 motorcycles worth ₹10 lakh were recovered, belonging to a gang active in Madhya Pradesh and other states.

Vidisha

Acting on a surge in vehicle thefts, Vidisha Police apprehended a notorious criminal. Following the accused's confession, 16 motorcycles stolen from various police station areas were recovered near Mandi Bhamora, valued at an estimated ₹18 lakh. Additionally, Ganjbasoda city police seized 2 stolen motorcycles, and Civil Lines police arrested 3 individuals and confiscated 10 more motorcycles, bringing the district's total to 26 motorcycles seized.

Indore

Tejaji Nagar Police arrested 4 members of a vehicle theft gang, recovering 11 stolen two-wheelers worth approximately ₹10 lakh. Rajendra Nagar Police apprehended 4 members of an inter-state car theft ring and seized 2 stolen cars. Electronic devices, magnets, cutters, and other tools used in the crimes were also confiscated. Furthermore, 2 vehicles were seized in Lasudia, 5 (valued over ₹3 lakh) in Khajrana, and 1 scooter was recovered from the railway station by GRP Indore, bringing the district's total to 21 stolen vehicles.

Ratlam

The Station Road Police team arrested two habitual members of an inter-state vehicle theft gang. Based on their information, 10 motorcycles stolen from various police station areas in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan were recovered.

Mandsaur

City Kotwali Police swiftly seized 6 motorcycles in connection with vehicle theft cases. In the Afzalpur area, a stolen motorcycle was recovered and the accused arrested within 24 hours. Mandsaur district police seized a total of 7 vehicles.

Ujjain

Mahakal Police arrested 2 notorious vehicle thieves, who then led them to the recovery of 7 stolen motorcycles.

Khandwa

Khandwa Police arrested an inter-state vehicle theft gang and seized 4 vehicles. The Asha Pur police outpost in the Hardud police station area seized property worth ₹51,500, including a stolen motorcycle and cash, bringing the total to 5 vehicles seized.

Agar Malwa

Kotwali Police solved a motorcycle theft case from the district hospital, arresting 3 accused and recovering 5 stolen motorcycles and 2 chassis.

Shajapur

Kalapipal Police busted an inter-district vehicle theft gang, arresting 4 individuals and seizing 4 stolen motorcycles.

Rajgarh

Khilchipur Police arrested 1 accused in a motorcycle theft case. Following the accused's tip-off, 4 motorcycles stolen from various police station areas were recovered, valued at approximately ₹2.80 lakh.

Tikamgarh

Kotwali Police arrested 2 individuals and recovered 3 motorcycles stolen from the parking lot of the Kundeshwar Temple complex.

Katni

Dheemerkheda Police swiftly acted on a theft report, seizing 1 stolen motorcycle. Additionally, the Amkohi area saw the resolution of 5 theft incidents, with a fugitive arrested and 2 stolen motorcycles confiscated, bringing the district's total to 3 vehicles seized.

Jhabua

Kotwali Police arrested 4 individuals in connection with vehicle and motor theft cases, recovering 3 motorcycles, a water motor, and cables, with total recovered property valued at ₹4.35 lakh.

Other Districts

Similarly, Bhandeer Police in Datia district arrested 2 individuals and seized 1 motorcycle; Ashta Police in Sehore district seized 1 motorcycle; and Amla Police in Betul district arrested 2 individuals and confiscated 1 motorcycle.

Major Vehicle Theft Gangs Exposed

Inter-state Dumper Theft Ring

In a significant breakthrough, the Agasod Police Station and Mandi Bamora Outpost police in Sagar district, after a pursuit covering approximately 900 kilometers, busted an inter-state dumper theft ring. 1 stolen dumper and 1 tractor were seized.

Car and Truck Recoveries

Ashoka Garden Police Station in Bhopal seized 2 stolen Mahindra Scorpio cars. Under 'Operation Trinetram', Dewas district's Bank Note Press Police recovered 1 stolen truck within just 12 hours, utilizing CCTV camera footage. Bhind Police also confiscated 1 stolen Wagon-R car.
