In a moment of pride for the Madhya Pradesh Police, Inspector (Retired) Shri Rakesh Kumar Kushwaha, posted at the Police Headquarters, has clinched a gold medal with an outstanding performance in the 10 Meter Air Pistol (Master category) at the 'Open India Pre-State Shooting Competition-2026'.

Shri Kushwaha, who also serves as a Senior Steno, has elevated the state police's stature at the national level with this remarkable achievement. The Director General of Police, Shri Kailash Makwana, honored Shri Kushwaha with a cash prize of ₹5,000 for his commendable performance.

DGP Shri Makwana attributed Shri Kushwaha's success to his discipline, hard work, dedication, and consistent practice. He stated that Shri Kushwaha's achievement has brought glory not only to the Madhya Pradesh Police but to the entire state, and it serves as a source of inspiration, particularly for the Stenographer and Clerical cadre.

Shri Rakesh Kumar Kushwaha had previously showcased his sporting talent by winning a silver medal in the state-level shooting competition of the Madhya Pradesh Police. Through his consistent excellent performance, he has proven that with determination, discipline, and regular practice, high-level success can be achieved alongside office responsibilities.

It is noteworthy that until now, there was no precedent of an officer from the Stenographer and Clerical cadre participating in a national-level shooting competition and achieving such a feat.
