Anti-Drug Campaign Held at Madhav College

Gwalior, July 25, 2026 – The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at Madhav College in Gwalior organized a significant anti-drug awareness campaign. The initiative aimed to educate students and the community about the severe consequences of drug abuse and inspire them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

As part of the campaign, college students participated in an impactful program, taking a collective pledge to abstain from drugs. The primary goal was to alert the younger generation to the harms associated with the consumption of intoxicating substances.

Students Pledge for a Healthy Future

Students not only resolved to stay away from drugs themselves but also vowed to play an active role in building a conscious, healthy, and drug-free society. During the event, all present students embraced the slogan, 'Choose education, not drugs; build your beautiful future.'

Pledge to Nation Building by Staying Drug-Free

In his address, college Principal Dr. Shiv Kumar Sharma stated that drug addiction profoundly negatively impacts an individual's physical, mental, and social life. He urged the youth to remain fully dedicated to their academic and personal goals and contribute significantly to the nation's development by avoiding destructive vices like drug abuse.

The Principal's words inspired the students, making them realize their responsibilities. Senior Program Officer Dr. Sanjay Kumar Pandey administered the anti-drug pledge to all students and members of the college family present during the program. He emphasized that efforts to spread awareness among the youth could prove to be the most powerful step towards creating a drug-free society.

Collective Commitment to a Drug-Free India

Under his leadership, this resolve was further strengthened. All professors, staff, and students of the college participated enthusiastically in this campaign. Together, they amplified the collective message of building a 'Drug-Free India.'

At the end of the program, all participants made a firm commitment to personally stay away from drugs and strive to educate those around them about its dangers, thereby fostering the creation of a healthy and safe society.
