Trauma Center Operational, Boosting Healthcare in Farrukhabad

A significant milestone has been reached in Farrukhabad's healthcare landscape with the operationalization of the newly constructed Trauma Center at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Medical College campus. This development coincides with the successful completion of a complex surgery in the operation theatre of the Critical Care Block.

Under the guidance of District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar and the able leadership of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Anand Upadhyay, this achievement marks a new direction for the district's health services. The Outpatient Department (OPD) and Operation Theatre (OT) of the Trauma Center have now officially commenced their functions.

This crucial step ensures that patients suffering from severe and complex conditions will now receive timely specialist treatment within the district. This initiative, realizing the CMO's vision of providing modern healthcare facilities akin to metropolitan cities, is poised to be a boon for Farrukhabad and surrounding districts.

First Successful Surgery in Critical Care Block

The first surgery performed in the operation theatre of the Critical Care Block has proven to be life-saving for 18-year-old Rakhi, a resident of Narayanpur in the neighboring Hardoi district. Rakhi had been suffering from a chest lump for nearly three years, with no relief from treatment at various places.

Hoping for better treatment, her family brought her to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Medical College. A specialist medical team, formed under the patronage of CMO Dr. Anand Upadhyay, conducted a detailed examination of the patient. Following consultations with experts and under the CMO's direction, surgeon Dr. Rohit Tiwari decided to proceed with the operation.

The first surgery, conducted in the well-equipped operation theatre of the Critical Care Block, was completed successfully. The patient's condition is now stable, and she is under medical observation.

The coordinated efforts of a dedicated medical team, including Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Jagmohan Sharma, surgeon Dr. Rohit Tiwari, and staff nurses Anita Lal, Megha, and Manoj, were instrumental in the successful surgery under the CMO's guidance.
