Lionel Messi Confirms GOAT Tour of India 2025

Football legend Lionel Messi has confirmed he will participate in the GOAT Tour of India 2025, calling it an “honour” to return to a “passionate football nation.” Reflecting on his 2011 visit, Messi described India as a “very special country” and expressed excitement to meet a new generation of fans.

The four-city tour will begin in Kolkata (Dec 13), followed by Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi, featuring concerts, meet-and-greets, football masterclasses, and a padel exhibition. Messi will also share the stage with Sourav Ganguly, Bhaichung Bhutia, Leander Paes, and Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan. The tour will conclude with a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Dec 15 in New Delhi.

This marks Messi’s first visit to India in 14 years, since captaining Argentina in a friendly at Salt Lake Stadium. The event is expected to be one of the largest football-related spectacles in India’s history.
