Lenskart IPO to Kick Off Blockbuster Fundraising Phase in India

Mumbai, October 26, 2025: Eyewear retailer Lenskart Solutions is set to launch its Rs 7,278-crore initial public offering (IPO) on October 31, marking the start of a high-profile fundraising spree in India’s primary markets. The IPO is expected to value the company at Rs 72,719 crore.

Backed by SoftBank, Temasek, and Kedaara Capital, the offering includes a fresh issue of Rs 2,150 crore and an offer-for-sale of 12.75 crore shares by promoters and investors. The IPO opens to anchor investors on October 30, with public subscription running through November 4, and shares are slated to list on the BSE and NSE on November 10.

Notably, co-founder Neha Bansal recently sold a 0.13% stake to Shrikanta R Damani, wife of DMart founder Radhakishan Damani, at Rs 402 per share, suggesting a likely IPO price band.

Start of a High-Stakes Market Rally

Lenskart’s listing kicks off a busy two-month period for the Indian IPO market, with Groww, Pine Labs, ICICI Prudential AMC, and boAt preparing to raise nearly Rs 35,000 crore.

  • Groww, the online brokerage with over 10 million active users, plans a Rs 7,000-crore IPO in early November.

  • Pine Labs, a digital payments platform, is preparing a multi-thousand crore issue.

  • ICICI Prudential AMC and boAt aim to tap the markets before year-end.

This rush follows the successful listings of LG Electronics India and Tata Capital, which together raised over Rs 27,000 crore recently. While LG surged 50% on debut, Tata Capital’s muted listing reminded investors that market enthusiasm alone does not guarantee gains.

Strong Momentum in India’s IPO Market

So far in 2025, Indian companies have raised over Rs 1 lakh crore via IPOs — the strongest performance since 2021. According to Kotak Equities, more than 200 companies are planning to raise Rs 2.9 lakh crore ($35 billion) over the next year, solidifying India’s status as one of the world’s busiest IPO markets.
