Legal Aid Stall Launched at Badi Devi Temple in Damoh

Damoh | October 13, 2026 - A special legal aid stall has been inaugurated at the premises of the famous Badi Devi Temple in Damoh. The initiative, held during the auspicious occasion of Navratri, aims to raise public awareness about legal rights and facilitate access to information on government legal schemes. This effort is part of an awareness camp organized by the District Legal Services Authority.

Principal District Judge and Chairman Subhash Solanki reviewed the stall's arrangements. He emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that extending legal services to the last person in society is the authority's top priority. Continuous awareness campaigns are being conducted to ensure eligible citizens can benefit from government schemes.

Legal Assistance for Devotees During Navratri

Ushakanta Krishan, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, stated that a large number of devotees visit the temple during Navratri. Following the instructions of the Principal District Judge, a Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) will be stationed at the legal aid stall daily. Devotees can visit the stall to obtain various legal information.

This stall will be particularly beneficial for individuals unfamiliar with legal procedures or those requiring guidance to resolve their issues. They will be provided with information on government legal aid, free legal advice, and other related schemes. The aim is to connect the general public with the mainstream of the law.

Broader Reach for Legal Assistance

Secretary Ushakanta Krishan added that individuals requiring additional assistance can also contact the District Legal Services Authority office located in the District Court. This endeavor is considered a significant step towards integrating the general public with the legal framework. Several dignitaries, including Special Judges Uday Singh Maravi and Vishwanath Sharma, District Judge Dharmesh Bhatt, Chief Judicial Magistrate Sneha Singh, and Judicial Magistrates Nilesh Multakar, Deergha Airen, Utkarsh Diwakar, and Palak Singhai Diwakar, along with numerous advocates and temple trust officials, were present at the inauguration.
