MLA Issues Stern Warning on Development Work Negligence

Lahar MLA Ambrish Sharma has taken a firm stance on the pace of development works and resolution of public issues in the Lahar region. During a crucial review meeting held in the Janpad Panchayat hall, in the presence of Lahar SDM Pradeep Mishra, he issued a clear warning to officials from various departments.

He stated unequivocally that any level of negligence in public welfare works will no longer be tolerated. The primary objective of the meeting was to bring transparency to administrative functioning and ensure prompt solutions to the problems faced by the general public. Sharma expressed deep dissatisfaction with the performance of the officials present.

"If they are unable to improve their working style and are merely going through the motions, they should voluntarily seek transfers and leave the area."

He further clarified that no guilty officer would be spared, and strict action would be taken against those found negligent. The MLA also took aim at the functioning of the Lahar Municipality, which is currently managed by a Congress council.

Criticism of Municipal Works and Political Accusations

Sharma alleged that the Congress is engaging in petty politics by blaming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to hide its own incompetence and inactivity. He emphasized his commitment to making the town problem-free and urged the Congress council to work effectively.

The meeting, which lasted nearly three hours, involved a department-wise review where the MLA provided directives on several critical issues. Food Inspector Sunil Mudgal was reprimanded for potential irregularities in the distribution of rations to the poor.

"The ration distribution system must be made completely transparent so that the needy receive their rightful share."

Directives for Public Works and Rural Development

Furthermore, the MLA expressed serious concern over the dilapidated condition of roads managed by the Public Works Department. He instructed for immediate filling of potholes and ensuring regular cleanliness. Officials informed the meeting that approximately ₹100 crore will be spent on road development and construction in the region, connecting several rural routes to main roads.

The MLA assured that the positive outcomes of these significant development projects would begin to be visible on the ground by December. Officials from the Panchayat department also faced criticism.

Panchayat Department Under Scrutiny

AE Kushwaha, representing the CEO, was sternly warned for his lack of knowledge regarding the region's development plans. He was directed to ensure that the main roads of the Gram Panchayats are made smooth and accessible for villagers' convenience.

Finally, Ambrish Sharma instructed all officials to be proactive in the field, listen to the public's problems, and resolve them. He reiterated that the administration's primary focus is on solving the issues of the poor and laboring class.

He made it clear that any official acting with malicious intent to trouble the public or failing to perform their duties diligently will face the strictest action.

This review meeting is considered a significant step towards establishing administrative accountability and accelerating development works.
