The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with immense joy, dignity, and a spirit of national pride at the office premises of the Kurwai Nagar Parishad on August 15, 2026. The event was graced by the presence of the Honorable MLA of Kurwai, Shri Hari Singh Sapre.

The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting by the Vice President of the Nagar Parishad, Irfan Qazi. Following the flag hoisting, assembled public representatives, officials, staff, and citizens collectively sang the national anthem and saluted the national flag.
