Kurwai Chairperson Couple Accused of Fake Caste Certificate and Disproportionate Assets

Allegations of Forged Caste Certificate and Disproportionate Assets Surface Against Kurwai Chairperson Couple

The Cliff News | Vidisha | July 21, 2026 - Serious allegations have been leveled against Aisha Hasruddin Khan, the Chairperson of Kurwai Nagar Parishad in Vidisha district, and her husband, former Nagar Parishad Chairperson Hasruddin Khan. They are accused of contesting elections using a forged Other Backward Classes (OBC) caste certificate and accumulating assets disproportionate to their income.

Demand for High-Level Investigation

A complainant, Sabir Khan, has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding a high-level and impartial investigation into the matter. According to the complaint, Hasruddin Khan allegedly won the Nagar Parishad Chairperson election in 2014 by using a fake Mewati (OBC) caste certificate. Similarly, his wife, Aisha Hasruddin Khan, is alleged to have secured the chairperson post in 2022 on the same basis.

Claims of Significant Wealth Accumulation

The complainant asserts that the couple actually belongs to the general category. Sabir Khan's allegations further state that according to the affidavit submitted by Hasruddin Khan in 2014, his annual income was ₹1.20 lakh. However, the complaint claims that by 2026, their total assets had surged to between ₹12 to ₹15 crore, representing an increase of approximately one thousand times in the past decade.

Details of Alleged Assets

The complaint details these alleged assets, including two bungalows in Bhopal, a farmhouse, a prime plot of land, luxury vehicles, a building in Kurwai, crores of rupees in cash, bank deposits, expensive education for their daughters abroad, and a flat in Dubai. Allegations also point to financial ties with Dubai and other foreign entities. Furthermore, there are accusations of accumulating undisclosed assets through corruption within the Nagar Parishad.

Truth Awaits Investigation

It is crucial to note that these allegations have not yet been independently verified. No official statement has been released by Aisha Hasruddin Khan or Hasruddin Khan regarding these claims. The truth behind these accusations can only be ascertained after an investigation by competent government agencies.

Call for Strict Action

Complainant Sabir Khan has urged the Chief Minister to conduct a thorough investigation into the entire matter and take strict legal action against those found guilty. The Cliff News will publish the response of the Chairperson couple if and when it is received.
