Kremlin Says U.S. and NATO Already Sharing Intelligence with Ukraine

The Kremlin confirmed on Thursday that the United States and NATO are already providing intelligence to Ukraine, following media reports that Washington plans to share information on Russian energy infrastructure targets.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters,

“The United States of America transmits intelligence to Ukraine on a regular basis online. The supply and use of the entire infrastructure of NATO and the United States to collect and transfer intelligence to Ukrainians is obvious.”

Context of Reports

• Media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal and Reuters, reported that the U.S. may provide intelligence on long-range energy targets in Russia.

• Washington is also considering sending missiles capable of striking deep into Russian territory, including Tomahawk cruise missiles with a 2,500 km range.

U.S. and Ukraine Operations

• The U.S. has long shared intelligence with Kyiv but has avoided openly declaring involvement in attacks on Russian infrastructure.

• Ukraine has struck Russian refineries in recent months, affecting processing and boosting crude exports.
