Kharge Slams NEET Exam Irregularities and Lathicharge, Sparks Parliament Uproar

Parliament Disrupted Over NEET Exam Scandals and Student Crackdown

The Rajya Sabha witnessed significant uproar on Monday as Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the central government concerning alleged paper leaks, scams in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), and the lathicharge on students. Kharge directly termed these incidents an 'attack on democracy,' asserting that if the government is unable to conduct impartial examinations, it should delegate the responsibility to a more capable institution.

Kharge's forceful intervention led to multiple adjournments of the Upper House, ultimately forcing its postponement. The opposition has clearly stated its resolve to continuously demand accountability from the government, both inside and outside Parliament, on these pressing issues that affect the future of millions of young people.

NEET Exam Irregularities Raise Questions About Student Futures

The Leader of the Opposition expressed deep concern over the ongoing irregularities in the NEET examination. He emphasized that this matter extends beyond a single examination, impacting the future of millions of youth and children across the country. Repeated lapses in the examination system are eroding students' confidence.

Kharge questioned the government's competence, stating that if they are incapable of conducting a fair examination themselves, they should transfer this burden to an organization that can perform this task efficiently.

Harsh Condemnation of Action Against Students at Jantar Mantar

Mallikarjun Kharge also strongly condemned the police action involving lathicharge and the use of tear gas against students peacefully protesting at Jantar Mantar. He declared that such brutal action against students protesting on the streets for their demands is absolutely unacceptable. This not only highlights the government's insensitivity towards students but also infringes upon the freedom of expression.

The opposition is demanding immediate accountability from the government on this issue.

Opposition Maintains Aggressive Stance

The opposition has made it clear that they will leave no stone unturned in holding the government accountable for the NEET examination controversies, the crackdown on student protests, and other public interest issues. A strategy is being developed to raise these issues simultaneously both inside and outside the House to pressure the government and ensure justice for the affected students.
