Jungle Mitan Celebrates 33 Years, Honors 50 Environmental Enthusiasts
Environmental group 'Jungle Mitan' marked its 33rd anniversary in Bilaspur by honoring 50 individuals for their contributions to conservation.

Annual Celebration and Recognition
The environmental organization 'Jungle Mitan' celebrated its 33rd annual foundation day in Bilaspur with enthusiasm. On this special occasion, 50 environmental enthusiasts who have made commendable contributions to the field of environmental protection were honored.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the organization's founder Chandra Prakash Vajpayee, former Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Rajbhasha Commission Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak, litterateurs Dr. Vijay Sinha, Dr. Mant Ram Yadav, and Dr. Sh Shankutala Jitpute.
About Jungle Mitan's Mission
The organization's founder, Chandra Prakash Vajpayee, stated that 'Jungle Mitan's' main office is located in Achanakmar Shiv Tarai. Here, regular events and training programs are organized for children focusing on environmental information, forest tours, trekking, and rural sports and culture.
The primary objective of these activities is to foster environmental sensitivity among the younger generation. These initiatives aim to instill a deep appreciation and understanding of nature's importance.
Environmental Conservation Awardees Honored
During the foundation day ceremony, 50 environmental enthusiasts were recognized for their outstanding work in environmental conservation. Among those honored were Akshay Alkari (Coordinator, Paryavaran Pahari), Rajendra Maurya, Santosh Kashyap, Kamleshwar Sahu, Shailesh Shukla, Vishal Sahu, Itwari Ram Sahu, Shri Shyam Mohan Dubey (Founder, Arpa Arpan Maha Abhiyan Jan Andolan), Ishaan Yadav, Digvijay Pathak, Shri Dujram Bhedpal (President, Ped Premi Sendri), Inderjeet Singh Sohel (Coordinator, Vriksh Hi Jeevan Hai), and Smt. Shweta Pandey (Secretary, Narishakti).
All recipients were presented with an environmental honor certificate, a shawl (angavastra), and a memento. These awards signify the community's appreciation for their dedication.
Environmental Protection: A Present Necessity, Says Dr. Pathak
“Environmental protection is the biggest necessity of today,” stated Chief Guest Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak during his address. He described the public awareness efforts by 'Jungle Mitan' as 'exemplary'.
Dr. Pathak specifically lauded the afforestation efforts undertaken by the organization's founder, Chandra Prakash Vajpayee, over the past 33 years. He emphasized that such relentless endeavors are crucial for safeguarding the environment.
The Significance of Afforestation Highlighted
Renowned speaker Dr. Shankutala Jitpure shared her thoughts, emphasizing that the importance of planting trees extends beyond environmental conservation to being critically significant for human life itself. She also praised Chandra Prakash Vajpayee's work, providing detailed information about the 'Navagraha Vatika' (Nine Planet Garden).
Senior litterateurs Dr. Vijay Sinha and Dr. Mantram Yadav also shared their perspectives and extended warm congratulations to the organization's founder, Chandra Prakash Vajpayee, and President, Chandra Pradeep Vajpayee.
