Judo-Para Sports Association Formed in Balrampur, Vows to Promote Sports

District Judo and Para Sports Association Established in Balrampur

Balrampur has taken a significant step in the sports sector with the establishment of the District Judo and Para Sports Association. This initiative is affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh Blind Sports Association, Lucknow, which has provided a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for this newly formed unit. The aim is to take judo and para sports to new heights in the district.

New Executive Committee Appointed

The office bearers of the new executive committee were nominated at a special event held at Pioneer Public School and College, Balrampur. Dr. M.P. Tiwari, the manager of the school, has been elected as the President, while judo coach Vijay Shankar Pandey has been entrusted with the responsibility of the Secretary. Ramkripal Shukla has been appointed as the Vice-President, and Vijayalakshmi Pandey, Sunil Gupta, and Faizan Khan have been nominated as members. All selected office bearers have pledged to work towards promoting sports and developing athletes.

Emphasis on Empowerment Through Sports

Ayesha Munawwar, President of the Uttar Pradesh Blind Sports Association, extended her best wishes to the newly formed association, hoping for its bright future and continuous success. This certificate is a significant recognition for the association.

During the program, Kumari Ragini, Principal of Pioneer Public School and College, highlighted the importance of sports. She stated that sports are not just limited to physical development but also foster confidence, discipline, and social inclusion. She particularly appreciated the efforts to empower differently-abled athletes through sports, calling it an excellent medium to hone their abilities.

The Vice-Principal of the school, Shikha Pandey, along with all the teachers, congratulated the office bearers of the association on their new roles and wished them a successful future.
