Journalists Pledge Unity for Democracy in Badarwas

The provincial working committee meeting of the Madhya Pradesh Journalists Union concluded in Badarwas on September 24, 2026. Journalists from across the state resolved to unite and engaged in in-depth discussions on protecting democratic values.

Focus on Organization and Future Strategies

The meeting deliberated on strategies for the expansion of the organization and addressing journalists' interests. The proceedings began with the garlanding of Maa Saraswati's portrait and the lighting of a lamp.

The true power of journalists lies in their united voice. This organization is not merely a group of people but a strong medium to move forward responsibly for common objectives.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Arun Saxena, the state president of the Journalists Union of Madhya Pradesh, highlighted the collective strength of journalists.

Journalists as Guardians of Democracy

Dr. Naveen Anand Joshi, State President of the Madhya Pradesh Press Club, described journalists as the sentinels of democracy. He likened their commitment to safeguarding democratic values to that of cow protectors dedicated to the service of the mother cow.

Membership Drive and Organizational Expansion

Prior to the meeting, a large vehicle rally, comprising over fifty four-wheelers, was organized from Hotel Skyline, spreading a message of organizational unity throughout the region. Provincial Secretary Dr. Kamal Alok Prasad emphasized the importance of the upcoming membership campaign to bring journalists onto a common platform.

New Appointments and Honors

During the event, new responsibilities were assigned within the organization. Ansar Khan was appointed as the Gwalior Divisional In-charge, Hemraj Jatav as Guna District President, Ram Niwas Sharma as Senior Divisional Vice President, and Pawan Yadav as Badarwas Block President. The ceremony also honored journalists and cow protectors.

Addressing Challenges in Journalism

The entire event was successfully conducted by national poet Naeem Aftab Qureshi. Meaningful discussions were also held regarding the challenges faced in the field of journalism and their potential solutions.
