MP Congress Chief Accuses BJP Govt of Diversion Tactics

Jitu Patwari, President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, has leveled serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state government, accusing it of diverting public attention from the state's pressing issues. He stated that the government is pushing subjects like the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) as a political agenda.

Patwari asserted that the public is suffering from inflation, unemployment, severe farmer problems, and rampant corruption. He demanded that the government abandon UCC-like issues and instead release five white papers on the state's economic condition, the plight of farmers, the education-employment crisis, and widespread corruption.

Corruption Permeates State Administration, Alleges Patwari

In a press release issued in Bhopal, State Congress President Jitu Patwari stated that corruption in Madhya Pradesh has crossed all limits. He claimed that mafias involved in liquor, sand, education, and minerals are operating openly, with the entire government system functioning under their influence.

Patwari alleged that the government is giving prominence to sensitive topics like UCC precisely to distract from these critical public welfare issues.

Farmers' Neglect and Broken Promises Highlighted

Jitu Patwari highlighted the recent trade deal worth approximately nine lakh crore rupees between India and the United States as a cause for concern for Madhya Pradesh farmers. He pointed out that while farmers in the US receive substantial government subsidies, farmers in Madhya Pradesh are forced to cultivate amidst rising production costs and limited government support.

Patwari expressed concern that in such a scenario, without adequate safeguards, foreign competition could adversely impact the income and livelihood of the state's farmers. He also drew attention to the BJP's electoral promises, recalling pledges to purchase wheat at ₹2700, paddy at ₹3100, soybean at ₹6000, and groundnut at ₹6200 per quintal.

He accused the government of failing to fulfill these promised rates for farmers even after the elections concluded, thus betraying their trust.

Massive Farmer Agitation to Begin July 24

In protest against the unfulfilled demands and electoral promises for farmers, the Congress has announced a widespread agitation. Jitu Patwari declared that the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee will launch a major protest on July 24 in the districts of Harda, Narmadapuram (formerly Hoshangabad), and Narsinghpur in support of farmers.

He stated that the Congress will strongly raise the voice of farmers, from the streets to the assembly, and demand solutions to their problems.

Youth's Future at Risk Amidst Exam Irregularities

The State Congress President also expressed deep concern over the state of the state's education system. He noted that the youth of the state are facing a severe unemployment crisis. Continuous irregularities and paper leak incidents in competitive examinations have cast a shadow over the future of lakhs of students.

Referencing the NEET exam controversy and other similar cases, he stated that these incidents have eroded the trust of the youth and that the government must take responsibility for these matters. Patwari highlighted the efforts of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in this regard, stating that Gandhi has consistently advocated for a fair examination system, quality education, and the right to employment for students and the youth.

He clarified that the Congress will not tolerate any compromise with the future of the youth.

Demand for White Papers on Five Key Issues

Jitu Patwari, President of the State Congress Committee, has demanded that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan immediately release five separate white papers to present the true situation of the state to the public. These white papers should provide detailed information on the state's economic condition, the current state of agriculture and farmers, education and employment opportunities, the actual outcomes of investor summits, and various cases of rampant corruption in the state.

Concluding his statement, Jitu Patwari asserted that the BJP government can no longer evade the public's serious questions. He assured that the Congress will continue its struggle on issues concerning farmers, youth, employees, traders, and common citizens, and will relentlessly seek answers from the government on every matter.
