JEE Main 2026 Topper's Success

Arnav, in his maiden attempt, scored 295 out of 300. Despite his parents' humanities background, he set his sights on engineering early in his academic journey.

Arnav's Preparation Strategy

Arnav is preparing for his Class 12 exams which commenced on February 17th. His mother emphasized his dedication and independent study habits. He primarily relied on Allen Institute's coaching notes.

"Arnav was always intelligent and very sincere in his studies. He has a tight schedule. He is also independent when it comes to studying. Arnav studied from Allen and relied on coaching notes completely."

His mother also highlighted his commitment to mental and physical well-being, playing cricket with his younger brother after coaching sessions.

The Importance of Self-Study and Coaching

Arnav believes that self-study is crucial, but professional coaching provides necessary direction and immediate doubt resolution. He emphasizes its importance in competitive exams like JEE.

"I believe that self-study is the most important factor in truly grasping a concept, but finding the right direction is nearly impossible without professional coaching. In an examination as competitive as the JEE, the immediate resolution of doubts is of utmost importance."

Exam Day Strategy

Arnav's approach involved tackling Chemistry first, followed by Physics, and reserving Mathematics for the end.

  • Chemistry First
  • Physics Second
  • Mathematics Last

His disciplined time management allowed him to review the entire exam, catching and correcting errors for a flawless performance.

"My disciplined time management didn't just allow me to finish early; it granted me a crucial 'buffer zone' to re-evaluate the entire exam. This final sweep allowed me to catch errors, ensuring a zero-mistake performance and a flawless result," he said.

Future Aspirations

Arnav aims to secure a top rank in JEE Advanced 2026 and pursue Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

Beyond JEE, Arnav participated in several Olympiads, including the Junior Science Olympiad OCSC in 2023, the Astro Olympiad OCSC in 2024, and the Physics Olympiad OCSC in 2025. He also won a bronze medal in the Asian Physics Olympiad 2025.

Arnav will now focus on preparing for JEE Advanced 2026, aiming for a top rank to secure his place in IIT Bombay's Computer Science program. His performance in the upcoming Class 12 exams will also be closely watched.
