Marathi actor Sachin Chandwade, best known for his role in the Hindi web series Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega (Season 2), has died by suicide at the age of 25. The young actor’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through the Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries, with tributes pouring in from colleagues and fans alike.
According to police and local reports, Chandwade was found hanging at his home in Parola, Jalgaon district, on October 23. Family members discovered him and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Initially treated at a private facility in his native village, Undirkhede, he was later shifted to a hospital in Dhule after his condition worsened. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, he was declared dead around 1:30 a.m. on October 24.
Hailing from a modest background in northern Maharashtra, Sachin Chandwade balanced two careers — working as a software engineer in Pune’s IT Park while actively pursuing his passion for acting. Friends and co-workers have described him as ambitious yet humble, recalling his deep love for performance since childhood.
Chandwade gained wider recognition for his appearance in Jamtara 2, a Netflix crime drama that exposed scams and power struggles in small-town India. His death has reignited conversations around the mental health struggles faced by young actors navigating uncertain careers in the entertainment industry.
