The powerful performance is largely attributed to the immense fan following of lead actor Rajinikanth and the preceding success of the first "Jailer" film. Sameer Munshi, Chief Operating Officer at Miraj Entertainment, expressed optimism about the sequel's potential, stating that it is expected to rank among the year's biggest openers.
Strong Occupancy and Fan Demand
Cinemas operated by Miraj Entertainment that are screening "Jailer 2" are experiencing near-capacity crowds. The high occupancy is anticipated to continue through the weekend, a testament to the film's immediate popularity. “Jailer 2 opened exceptionally well for us. Advance bookings were very strong, and the film released to great numbers. All our cinemas playing the film are running at over 90 percent occupancy and we expect this to hold through the weekend,” Miraj Entertainment chief operating officer Sameer Munshi said.

The film has also made a solid debut in Kerala, according to exhibitor Reni Varughese. "Jailer 2" is being shown on the maximum number of available screens in the state. The current landscape, with the absence of a major Malayalam film release this week, is expected to further bolster the sequel's run in Kerala.
