Luxury car manufacturer Jaguar has officially pulled the covers off its most powerful all-electric grand tourer to date, the Jaguar Type 01. Positioned as a high-performance electric vehicle, it offers a compelling blend of exceptional power, extensive driving range, and rapid charging capabilities.

Unmatched Power and Acceleration

The Jaguar Type 01 is equipped with a formidable triple-motor setup. This powertrain is capable of generating a maximum output of 1,016 horsepower (over 1,030 PS) and a peak torque of 1,365 Nm. This surge of power allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a mere 3.2 seconds, cementing its place among Jaguar's fastest and most potent electric vehicles.

Impressive Battery and Extended Range

Integrated into the Type 01 is a substantial battery pack with a capacity of approximately 120 kWh. According to the company's official claims, this battery can deliver a driving range of up to 720 kilometers on a single full charge, as per the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard. This makes it an exceptionally practical vehicle for long-distance journeys.

Rapid Charging Capability

Jaguar has placed a strong emphasis on reducing charging times during extended travel. The Jaguar Type 01 supports charging with a 350kW DC fast charger. This charging capability allows the car to gain an additional 321 kilometers of driving range in just 13 minutes, positioning it as a significant contender in the premium electric grand tourer segment.

Global Launch and Pricing

Jaguar will commence accepting orders for this new electric grand tourer globally from early 2027. In India, the Jaguar Type 01 is anticipated to launch by the end of 2027. The company has announced an initial international price of approximately 130,000 Pounds Sterling (around 2.20 crore Indian Rupees).
