iQOO Z11 Turbo Launches with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 7,600mAh Battery, and 144Hz AMOLED Display
  • What happened: iQOO has unveiled the Z11 Turbo in China, featuring flagship-level hardware in a mid-range package.

  • Why it matters now: The device brings high-performance gaming, long battery life, and a 200MP camera to the upper-midrange segment.

  • What changes for people: Gamers and heavy users gain access to top-tier specs, while everyday users benefit from a durable, long-lasting smartphone.

  • Who is affected: Chinese consumers, tech enthusiasts, and potential Indian buyers if the phone launches locally.

iQOO’s Z11 Turbo raises the bar for mid-range smartphones with premium hardware usually reserved for flagship devices. The device is already on sale in China, offering multiple RAM and storage configurations up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, and comes in four colours including Polar Night Black and Skylight White.

Pricing and availability
The 12GB + 256GB model starts at CNY 2,699 (approx Rs 34,999), while the top-end 16GB + 1TB variant costs CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 52,000). The phone may not reach India, as its predecessor, the Z10 Turbo, also skipped the market.

Flagship performance under the hood
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the Z11 Turbo delivers fast gaming and smooth multitasking. LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage further boost performance, while Android 16-based OriginOS 6 ensures the latest software support.

Display and durability
The device features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and a P3 wide colour gamut. Gamers can expect smooth visuals, while durability is ensured with IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security.

Camera setup
The rear camera system includes a 200MP primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. The phone supports up to 4K video recording, appealing to content creators, though the lack of a telephoto lens may limit versatility.

Battery and charging
A standout feature is the 7,600mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging, offering up to 23 days standby. This makes it one of the most battery-endowed devices in the segment, suitable for power users and heavy gamers.

Positioning and outlook
The Z11 Turbo follows iQOO’s formula of high performance at competitive prices, borrowing premium features from the Neo series. If launched in India, it could compete with devices like the OnePlus 15R, particularly for gamers and users prioritizing battery life and speed. Photography enthusiasts may want to compare other options with telephoto capabilities.
