Smaller Dynamic Island on the Horizon?

A purported image of the iPhone 18 Pro has surfaced, revealing a noticeably smaller Dynamic Island. The leak originated from X user @earlyappleleaks.

The image appears to show a prototype iPhone 18 Pro with a flashlight illuminating a small circular punch-hole beneath the screen. This punch-hole is believed to house the Face ID sensor.

This leak corroborates earlier reports suggesting that Apple is aiming to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island.

A Deep Red iPhone 18 Pro?

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is experimenting with a deep red color option for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. This follows the popularity of the Cosmic Orange variant on the iPhone 17 Pro.

The Cosmic Orange color gained traction in China, with customers associating it with Hermès' signature orange. Gurman suggests that red is the current flagship color in testing.

 

"Apple is now considering a deep red color for its next lineup. Given the success of orange, I wouldn’t be surprised if the company keeps that option around and just adds the red as an additional choice. But red and orange might be a little too close on the color wheel to have both,"

iPhone 18 Pro Launch Timeline

Apple typically unveils new iPhone models in September. This schedule is rumored to remain unchanged for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max launch in 2026.

However, the standard iPhone 18 may be delayed and unveiled in March of next year alongside the iPhone Air 2.
