Constable Ms. Nikita Joshi, posted at the DCP Zone-2 office in Indore, displayed extraordinary alertness and courage after her duty hours ended, saving the life of a 6-year-old child.

Alertness and Courageous Intervention

The incident occurred in the evening when Constable Nikita Joshi had returned home after completing her duty. She then heard the panicked screams of children coming from the temple premises located in front of her house. Instantly grasping the seriousness of the situation, she rushed towards the temple complex without losing a moment.

Rescue from Electric Hazard

Upon reaching the temple premises, she found the child in an unconscious state behind some bushes. On closer inspection, she noticed that the child's hand was entangled with an electric wire. Without hesitation or delay, Constable Joshi demonstrated courage and presence of mind by immediately separating the child's hand from the live wire. As soon as the wire was removed, the child opened his eyes.

Timely Hospitalization and Gratitude

Observing his critical condition, Nikita Joshi immediately picked him up in her arms. With the assistance of the child's family, she rushed him to the hospital without any delay. Thanks to the timely medical attention, the child's life was saved. The child's family expressed profound gratitude for the woman police officer's promptness, bravery, and indomitable human sensitivity.
