India’s IT & AI Services Market to Hit $400 Billion by 2030: Bessemer Report

India’s information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) services industry is poised for explosive growth, with its market size expected to reach $400 billion by 2030, according to Bessemer Venture Partners’ (BVP) AI Services Roadmap.

The report attributes the surge to a rapid rise in enterprise adoption of AI and a “step-jump” in global outsourcing demand, as companies increasingly rely on AI-driven service models to manage complex digital operations.

While automation will streamline repetitive and low-value tasks, BVP predicts it will simultaneously generate fresh opportunities by allowing enterprises to outsource more sophisticated, high-margin work to specialized partners.

“Three years ago, it was extremely hard for a small startup to challenge an Accenture, Deloitte, or TCS,” said Nithin Kaimal, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners India. “It’s still difficult, but there’s now a real window. If you have the right mix of founders, product and AI understanding, and can deliver value quickly, it’s a golden opportunity to capture the big jump in demand we expect over the next few years.”

The report highlights that this evolving landscape could level the playing field for AI-first startups, giving them a unique chance to compete with long-established IT giants such as TCS, Infosys, and HCLTech.

Industry analysts say the shift marks a pivotal transformation in India’s tech ecosystem, where traditional outsourcing models are being redefined by automation, AI-driven analytics, and global demand for faster innovation cycles.
