Independence Day Celebrated in Bhopal: Mayor and Corporation President Hoist National Flag
Bhopal commemorated its 79th Independence Day with flag hoisting ceremonies led by Mayor Malati Rai and Corporation President Kishan Suryavanshi.

Festivities Mark 79th Independence Day in Bhopal
Bhopal celebrated the 79th Independence Day with enthusiastic national flag hoisting ceremonies across the city. At the Bhopal Municipal Corporation headquarters, 'Atal Bhawan', Mayor Smt. Malati Rai, in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Smt. Sanskriti Jain, hoisted the national flag. Concurrently, Corporation President Shri Kishan Suryavanshi celebrated the occasion by unfurling the national flag at the Corporation's central workshop located at Mata Mandir.
Following the flag hoisting at 'Atal Bhawan', Mayor Smt. Malati Rai extended her warm greetings to all citizens of the capital on Independence Day. Earlier, she inspected the parade of fire brigade personnel. Sweets were distributed among all attendees, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.
Corporation President Leads Ceremony at Central Workshop
Separately, Municipal Corporation President Shri Kishan Suryavanshi hoisted the national flag on the premises of the Corporation's central workshop at Mata Mandir. In his address, he congratulated the city dwellers on Independence Day and reminded them of their duties towards the nation. A sweet distribution event was also organized here, attended by a large number of corporation employees and distinguished citizens.
Members of the Mayor-in-Council, corporators, Additional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and other senior officials and employees of the corporation, along with distinguished citizens, were present at both events. All came together to celebrate the nation's independence and pay respects to the national flag.
