IFFCO Bhind Hosts Training on Modern Agriculture for Cooperative Workers

The Cliff News | Bhind | August 15, 2026 Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) Bhind successfully organized a significant cooperative worker training program on August 13, 2026, at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lahar. The event aimed to impart knowledge on modern agricultural techniques, balanced nutrient management, and advanced fertilizer usage to branch managers, committee managers, and assistant committee managers from various branches.

The primary objective of the program was to enhance awareness about nano fertilizers and train these cooperative workers to effectively deliver IFFCO's innovative agricultural products to farmers. Rupendra Kumar Maholia, Deputy Regional Manager of IFFCO Gwalior, was the chief guest. Dr. S.P.S. Jadon, Head and Senior Scientist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Lahar, Dr. B.P. Singh, Soil Scientist, and Tahir Saifi, Regional Manager of IFFCO Bazaar Bhopal, were present as special guests. The program commenced with the lighting of a lamp by Shubham Parmar, Junior Field Representative of IFFCO Bhind. All guests were welcomed with bouquets.

Promoting Modern Agriculture Through Cooperative Societies

Speaking at the event, Shubham Parmar highlighted IFFCO's illustrious history and its crucial role in the cooperative sector. He informed attendees about IFFCO's various farmer-centric initiatives and ongoing programs in the district.

Chief guest Rupendra Kumar Maholia presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation discussing IFFCO's diverse agricultural products, with a particular focus on the usage, importance, and farmer benefits of nano urea, nano DAP, nano zinc, nano copper, NPK consortia, bio-decomposer, and Sagarika. He emphasized the need to build trust and awareness among farmers regarding nano fertilizers and stressed their effective promotion through cooperative societies. He also provided information about the Sankat Haran Insurance Scheme.

A business module for cooperative societies was also presented, illustrating how these societies can strengthen their business activities and develop additional income opportunities by delivering IFFCO's agricultural products to farmers.

Scientific Approach and Cooperative Principles

Dr. S.P.S. Jadon, Head and Senior Scientist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Lahar, emphasized the core principles and ethical values of cooperation, stating that a strong cooperative system forms the foundation for farmers' economic and social progress. He discussed the concepts of organic and natural farming and explained the significance of balanced nutrient management in modern agriculture.

Dr. Jadon particularly stressed the importance of adopting modern agricultural techniques like nano fertilizers with a scientific perspective and ensuring accurate technical information reaches farmers. Tahir Saifi, Regional Manager of IFFCO Bazaar Bhopal, highlighted the utility of IFFCO's agricultural products, especially Sulphur 90% and Humeevee Power, detailing their application methods, agricultural importance, and potential farmer benefits.

Dr. B.P. Singh, Soil Scientist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Lahar, provided scientific insights into the proper usage, dosage, timing, and application methods of nano fertilizers based on performance trials and results. He explained how the scientific application of nano fertilizers can motivate farmers to adopt balanced nutrient management and effectively utilize modern agricultural techniques.
