Hyderabad's Skyline Modernizes with Rising High-Rises

The Telangana capital, Hyderabad, is rapidly evolving into a metropolitan hub, with the construction of tall buildings becoming a symbol of the city's changing identity. New and ambitious residential and commercial high-rise projects in areas like Kokapet, Gachibowli, and Champapet in western Hyderabad are reshaping the city's horizon.

Notable among these are the proposed Trump Towers, Skyview in Gachibowli, and Namishri Twin Towers in Champapet. While approximately 100 high-rise buildings were approved in Hyderabad in 2024, this number escalated to around 200 in 2025. Many projects in western Hyderabad are reaching heights of 60 floors or more, reflecting the rapid pace of the city's vertical development.

Rising land prices, the expansion of the Information Technology (IT) and corporate sectors, and increasing demand for premium housing have propelled the city towards constructing taller buildings. This surge is re-defining Hyderabad's urban landscape.

Kokapet: A New Hub of Luxury with Trump Towers

Kokapet is one of Hyderabad's fastest-growing real estate zones, with the Trump Towers Hyderabad project generating particular excitement. This development is set to become the Trump Organization's largest luxury residential project in India and their first major venture in South India.

The project is being developed in Kokapet's burgeoning luxury real estate corridor, already home to several tall residential buildings and premium projects. This positioning is establishing Kokapet as Hyderabad's new skyline hub, attracting significant investment and attention.

Gachibowli's Skyview: A Key Component of the IT Corridor

The Skyview project in Gachibowli stands as a significant pillar of the city's modern commercial landscape. Through towers like Skyview 10 and 20, the area has emerged as a prime center for IT companies, corporate offices, and state-of-the-art business facilities.

Champapet's 22-Story Namishri Twin Towers

In the residential sector, Namishri Twin Towers in Champapet is one of the prominent projects. According to official developer information, the project features two 22-story towers offering a total of 504 residential units. This project is being developed on approximately three acres and will include 2, 2.5, and 3 BHK apartments.

Namishri Twin Towers also offers modern amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, gymnasium, children's play area, and landscaped gardens. The developer states that the project is currently under construction, adding to the growing residential offerings.

Action at Ayappa Society: Questions Over Illegal Construction

Amidst the rapid construction of high-rise buildings in Hyderabad, authorities are also taking strict action against illegal and unauthorized constructions. Recently, a seven-story illegal building in Ayappa Society, Madhapur, was demolished by the HYDRAA under orders from the Telangana High Court.

Officials indicated that several other constructions in the society are also illegal and these cases will be raised with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). This action is significant given concerns raised about illegal high-rise construction in many cities across the country. However, directly comparing the Ayappa Society action to the Noida Twin Towers demolition is not appropriate due to different legal and factual circumstances.

Hyderabad's New Identity: A Skyline Transformed by High-Rises

Hyderabad's skyline is rapidly changing with the continuous emergence of new high-rise projects in areas like Kokapet, Gachibowli, Tellapur, Nallagandla, and Osman Nagar. Reports suggest that Hyderabad currently has approximately 1,800 high-rise buildings, making it one of the highest numbers among major South Indian cities.

Projects like the Twin Towers not only fulfill residential or commercial needs but also showcase the city's evolving architecture and growing economic importance. As new high-rise projects are completed in the coming years, Hyderabad's horizon is expected to appear even taller and more modern, solidifying its position as a global metropolis.
