Hyderabad Doctor’s House Searched by Gujarat ATS in Terror Conspiracy Probe

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), with the help of Telangana Police, searched the Rajendranagar home of Dr. Ahmed Mohiuddin Sayeed, arrested last week along with two others — Azad Suleman Sheikh and Mohd Suhel Salim Khan — for allegedly plotting terror activities across India.

Dr. Mohiuddin, who holds an MBBS degree from China, was allegedly preparing ricin, a highly toxic substance, and was in contact with a Telegram user named Abu Khadeja, suspected to be linked to ISKP.

The ATS claims the trio had conducted reconnaissance in crowded areas of Lucknow, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and were also traced in Kashmir. Seized materials include:

  • 2 Glock pistols

  • 1 Beretta pistol

  • 30 live cartridges

  • 4 litres of castor oil (used in ricin production)

During the late-night search, ATS and Telangana police questioned family members and seized certain equipment.

Dr. Mohiuddin’s family insists on his innocence, claiming he believed he was running a business processing oil after receiving a lucrative offer via phone. His brother, Syed Farooq, stated that Mohiuddin was unaware of the nature of the “liquid” he was asked to prepare and might have been misled.

The Gujarat ATS, however, maintains that evidence points to a terror plot involving the use of ricin and firearms for large-scale attacks.
