Extensive Security Operations Underway

In anticipation of Independence Day, Farrukhabad witnessed a comprehensive security sweep by the police on Friday evening. Special police teams meticulously searched for suspicious individuals and their belongings at key and sensitive locations, including the railway station and the roadways bus stop, within the Kotwali and Qadiri Gate police station areas.

Additional Superintendent of Police Girish Kumar, CO City Abhay Verma, GRP Inspector Suresh Kumar, Kotwali In-charge Dharmendra Gahlot, and the dog squad were present at the railway station to oversee security arrangements. Dog handler Devkant, along with his trained dog 'Viraj', inspected the station premises and any questionable items.

Passengers' luggage was thoroughly checked, and individuals appearing suspicious were questioned. Similar rigorous checks were conducted at the Farrukhabad Roadways Bus Stop. CO City Abhay Verma, dog handler Devkant with 'Viraj', Roadways Chowki In-charge Dayanand Patel, and other police personnel meticulously examined passengers and their belongings within the bus stand premises. The police maintained high vigilance to ensure passenger safety.

Public Urged to Remain Vigilant

Police teams also patrolled other public and sensitive areas within the city, questioning individuals who aroused suspicion. The police have appealed to the general public to promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the authorities, enabling timely intervention.

Police Assured of Full Vigilance

"Security arrangements have been further tightened as per government directives for Independence Day. Continuous checking and search operations are underway at railway stations, roadways, and other vital locations. The police are fully alert to prevent any untoward incident during Independence Day," stated Additional Superintendent of Police Girish Kumar.
