Health Services Review in Mahoba: Directives Issued to Expedite Payments and Drug Distribution

District Health Committee Meeting Reviews Services

A crucial district health committee meeting was convened in Mahoba with the objective of enhancing the quality of health services and accelerating the delivery of government schemes to beneficiaries. Presided over by Chief Development Officer Balram Kumar, the meeting placed special emphasis on priorities such as the Janani Suraksha Yojana, registration of pregnant women, and the creation of Ayushman cards.

The administration has taken a serious stance on any negligence in health services and has issued stern warnings to the concerned officials. During the meeting, the status of pregnant women's registration and the payment process under the Janani Suraksha Yojana were thoroughly reviewed. The Chief Development Officer issued clear directives that all payments must be ensured 100% via the Mantra app. Any delay in payments will not be tolerated, and explanations will be sought from Block Account Managers. This move is a significant effort to provide timely financial assistance to the beneficiaries of these schemes.

Focus on Maternal & Child Health and Immunization

The meeting also included discussions on the Janani Shishu Suraksha Programme, the review of maternal mortality rates, and the progress of immunization campaigns. The Chief Development Officer instructed that any decline in the district's state ranking be prevented. He stated that ensuring healthcare reaches the last person in society is the administration's utmost priority.

Officials have been directed to remain active at the grassroots level and monitor the implementation of schemes to ensure that no eligible individual is deprived of their benefits. The administration stressed that any lapses or negligence in public health-related work will not be tolerated at any level, and responsible officials will face strict action.

Directives Issued for Drug Availability and Action

Medical Superintendents have been strictly instructed to ensure that patients receive essential medicines for treatment directly from the hospital premises. If any doctor is found guilty of prescribing medicines from outside the hospital instead of available hospital stocks, strict disciplinary action and departmental inquiry will be initiated against them as per rules.

For essential medicines that are unavailable despite being on the list, an order has been issued to immediately submit their demand letters to ensure their procurement. The meeting also saw the presence of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vinay Kumar, Dr. Vinod Kumar Chauhan, Additional Chief Medical Officer, and DPM Mamta Ahirwar, along with Akanksha Saxena from TSU.

Special Camps for Ayushman Card Enrollment

Directives have been issued to organize special camps to facilitate the maximum creation of Ayushman cards under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Emphasis has also been placed on the extensive promotion of these camps to achieve the 100% target.
