Kalash Yatra Arrives in Indrahata Village

As part of the 'Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan' (Campaign for Social Harmony) commemorating the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj, a 'Kalash Vandan Yatra' (Pot Consecration Journey) reached Indrahata village in Mahoba on Tuesday. The procession carried a sacred urn filled with soil from Seer Govardhan, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas in Varanasi.

The villagers extended a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the Yatra. A large number of women participated, carrying the urns on their heads and singing auspicious songs. The procession commenced from the Panchayat Secretariat, traversed various routes, and concluded at the Hansadev temple complex.

Pious Rituals and Pledge for Social Harmony

At the temple complex, devotees performed traditional rituals to honor the urn. They reiterated their commitment to spreading the message of equality and social harmony taught by Sant Guru Ravidas Maharaj to every citizen. This initiative underscores the campaign's dedication to fostering unity and understanding.

Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan: A Nationwide Endeavor

Under this campaign, 'Kalash Vandan' programs are being organized at over 21,000 locations across the country by September 10, 2026. Soil collected from various places is being transported across the nation through these Yatras in a specially designated urn, promoting social harmony and goodwill.
