Traffic Flow Improvement in Guna: Collector Inspects Four-Lane Construction

In a significant step towards improving traffic management and road widening in Guna city, Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal conducted a thorough inspection of key city routes on Saturday. The primary objective was to review the proposed four-lane construction from Maruti Showroom to Bhullanpura and road widening plans up to the SDM office.

Details of Proposed Four-Lane Construction

During the inspection, the Collector gathered detailed information from Public Works Department officials regarding the proposed four-lane construction. Executive Engineer K.S. Uike informed that the initial proposal for the four-lane construction has already been sent to higher authorities.

Prioritizing Essential Tasks for Construction

The Collector issued directives to shift electric poles near the Maruti Showroom and to prepare the Road Execution Plan on a priority basis. This is to ensure that the construction work does not face unnecessary delays.

Development of Alternate Routes and Traffic Pressure Reduction

Collector Kanyal also emphasized the development of alternate routes on the city's outskirts to reduce the increasing traffic pressure within the city. He believes that effective routes should be developed to guide heavy vehicles passing through the highway to their destinations without entering the city.

This initiative is expected to alleviate traffic jams at the city's main intersections, saving time for citizens and making travel smoother. Additionally, the Collector assessed the availability of additional land for important institutions like the Bus Stand, local Police Station, and Municipality. He stressed the importance of ensuring the city's planned development with future needs in mind.

Emphasis on Coordinated Efforts

Various officials from relevant departments, including SDM Shivani Pandey, were present during this inspection. The Collector instructed all departments to establish better coordination and take effective and swift steps towards traffic improvement.

He stated that the systematic development of the city in line with future needs will only be possible through the coordinated efforts of everyone, leading to better civic amenities for the residents.
