Teacher Felicitation and Nutrition Kit Distribution Held in Guna

Guna | September 5, 2026 | A dignified Teacher Felicitation Ceremony and a Nutrition Kit Distribution Program for Tuberculosis (TB) patients were organized at the Red Cross Building, District Hospital, on the occasion of Teacher's Day in the Guna district. During the event, District Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal honored the invaluable contributions of senior teachers from the district, presenting them with shawls and coconuts.

Additionally, nutrition kits were distributed to patients suffering from Tuberculosis (TB), who also received essential health and nutrition guidance from physicians. Addressing the gathering, Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal highlighted the significance of the 'Guru-Shishya' (teacher-disciple) tradition, stating that where teachers are respected, disciples are propelled towards progress.

Collector Kanyal shared his personal experiences from his student life, recalling his friendly relations with professors during his college days, which enabled him to ask questions freely on any subject and easily acquire knowledge. He also emphasized the importance of discipline in life and learning from the experience and guidance of teachers.

Nutrition Kits Distributed Towards TB Eradication

Collector Kanyal reiterated the administration's goals to make the district free from Tuberculosis (TB). He announced that an amount of approximately ₹20 lakh has been sanctioned from NFL's (National Fertilizers Limited) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, which will be utilized to provide nutrition kits to TB patients.

The objective of this initiative is not only to treat patients but also to ensure the health of their family members, thereby preventing the spread of infection and fostering a healthy environment for all. This program aims to support the holistic well-being of TB patients and their families.

Senior Teachers Honored, Patients Receive Support

In this event, senior and veteran teachers of the district, who have shaped the lives of countless students during their long teaching careers, were specially honored. The teachers also shared their experiences from their teaching careers and life, which served as an inspiration to those present.

The nutrition kits distributed to TB patients are expected to aid in their swift recovery. Physicians provided patients with essential guidelines regarding regular medication, a balanced diet, and other necessary health advice to ensure their complete recovery at the earliest. The program concluded with a group photograph of the Collector, members of the Red Cross Society, the honored teachers, and the TB patients who received the nutrition kits.
