Major Jewelry Theft Case Solved Swiftly by Guna Police

The Guna Police have successfully cracked a high-profile case of gold jewelry theft, valued at approximately 1.50 crore rupees, in the village of Chak Churela, Fatehgarh police station area, within a mere six days. Two accused have been arrested in connection with the incident, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining absconding individuals.

This significant achievement is attributed to the Guna Police's consistent teamwork, well-planned operations, and meticulous analysis of technical evidence. The theft occurred on the intervening night of August 2-3, 2026, at the residence of a person named Babulal Meena.

Details of the Daring Heist

Unknown perpetrators stole a safe containing approximately 2 to 2.5 kilograms of gold jewelry, 3 kilograms of silver jewelry, Rs 11.50 lakh in cash, and a motorcycle. A case was registered against the unidentified accused at the Fatehgarh police station under sections 305(a) and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Challenging Investigation and Recovery Process

Given the gravity of the incident, Superintendent of Police Hitika Wasal personally inspected the crime scene and directed immediate measures for the identification and recovery of the stolen property. The absence of CCTV cameras at the scene and surrounding areas presented a significant challenge in identifying the culprits, especially given the rural location of the crime.

To overcome this hurdle, the Superintendent of Police formed multiple teams. These teams conducted a scientific inspection of the crime scene, gathering crucial evidence with the assistance of the fingerprint team and the dog squad. Simultaneously, thorough interrogations of the complainant and family members, information gathering from local villagers and suspicious individuals, activation of the informant network, analysis of technical evidence, and verification of received information were continuously pursued.

By piecing together minor details gathered at various levels, the sequence of events was reconstructed, enabling the police to identify and confirm the involvement of all perpetrators, who were found to be associated with the Pardi community.

Arrests and Recovery of Stolen Goods

Following the confirmation of the accused's identities, police teams launched a search across various districts of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. After extensive interrogations and verification of information from several suspicious individuals, on August 8, 2026, police teams, demonstrating promptness, vigilance, and excellent teamwork, arrested two accused: Raju (35), son of Kavyaya Pardi, and Gajanan (48), son of Devla Pardi, both residents of village Kanera, Dhanavaja police station, Guna district.

During intensive interrogation, the arrested accused confessed to committing the theft along with their associates. Acting on the leads provided by the accused, the police recovered gold jewelry weighing 985.150 grams, with an estimated value of approximately Rs 1 crore 47 lakh 77 thousand 250.

The identities of the remaining absconding accused have also been established, and special police teams are conducting raids at their suspected locations to secure their arrest. The police are committed to continuing their efforts to bring all involved parties to justice.

Police Superintendent Hitika Wasal emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of the case and the directives provided to the teams. She stated that this success is a prime example of Guna Police's 'zero tolerance' policy against property-related crimes and assured that such legal actions will continue in the future.
