Municipal Drive Clears Encroachments, Organizes Vendors

In a bid to improve traffic flow and free public spaces from encroachment, the Guna Municipality launched a rigorous campaign on Tuesday morning. Acting on the directives of Chief Municipal Officer Shailesh Awasthi, the municipal team removed illegal constructions along roadsides on prominent routes like Main Hot Road and Jagdish Colony Marg.

During the operation, street vendors and carts were instructed to be arranged in an organized manner to avoid obstructing traffic. The campaign was led by Amish Kumar, the Municipality's encroachment in-charge, and the IEC team. They not only dismantled illegal structures but also guided shopkeepers to position their carts within designated limits and properly.

Emphasis on Cleanliness and Enforcement

Beyond clearing encroachments, the municipality also took stringent measures to maintain city cleanliness. The team identified vendors contributing to unsanitary conditions at their operating sites and took punitive action. Furthermore, all shopkeepers and street vendors were strictly mandated to place dustbins in front of their establishments, a significant step towards a cleaner city.

The municipal administration clarified that any form of encroachment on public property will not be tolerated. Continuous monitoring and similar actions will be carried out in the future to ensure smooth traffic and prevent inconvenience to citizens. Shopkeepers present at the scene were also issued warnings for future compliance.
