Tribal Land Grabbers Face Administration's Hammer in Guna

In a significant move against land mafias illegally encroaching on tribal lands, the Guna district administration has taken decisive action. District Collector Kishor Kumar Kanyal has issued an order declaring land fraudulently purchased from tribal communities in Singwasa and Jaganpur villages as government property. This decision has sent shockwaves through local land grabbing syndicates.

Violation of Land Revenue Codes

During hearings, the Collector's court found a clear violation of sections 165 and 182 of the Madhya Pradesh Land Revenue Code in these land transactions. The order targets land mafias who disregarded rules in their attempts to acquire land belonging to the poor and vulnerable tribal population.

Illegally Acquired Lands Declared Government Property

The administration has nullified these illegal purchases and declared the concerned plots as government assets. As per the order, 1.1060 hectares of land in survey number 13/2/2(s) and 0.6900 hectares in survey number 13/2/3(s) within the Kushmauda Patwari circle of Jaganpur village have now been brought under government control. Similarly, 1.2540 hectares of land in survey number 438/2(s) in the Piprodakhurd Patwari circle of Singwasa village has also been declared government property. The ownership of all these lands will now rest with the government.

Stern Message to Land Mafias

This action specifically targets purchases made by prominent colonizers, including Akhilesh Jain. The Collector's stringent action sends a clear message that any attempt to seize tribal lands will not be tolerated. The district administration has emphasized that strict legal action will continue in such cases in the future, and those found guilty will not be spared.

This decision is expected to curb the illegal activities of land mafias in the region.
