Intensive Sanitation Drive Underway in Guna

The Guna Municipal Council has initiated a comprehensive special campaign aimed at promoting cleanliness throughout the city. As part of this initiative, an intensive cleaning drive was successfully conducted today in wards number 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 22.

Municipal President Savitri Arvind Gupta personally led the campaign, while Chief Municipal Officer Shailesh Awasthi oversaw the overall program management and guidance. Specialized teams were deployed for deep cleaning of drains in the seven selected wards. Additionally, waste accumulated on vacant plots across various locations was cleared and scientifically disposed of.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders including Arvind Gupta, Neeraj Nigam, Anil Jain Rup Shri, and Sanjay Deshmukh, along with Municipal Assistant Engineer Sunil Kumar Jain, Amit Tyagi, Sub-Engineer Ramveer Sharma, and Nitin, were present during this commendable effort. A large team of sanitation workers effectively executed the cleanliness operations.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

Following the campaign, Municipal President Savitri Arvind Gupta appealed to the ward residents for active cooperation in waste management. She urged citizens not to litter on the streets but to segregate wet and dry waste and dispose of it only in the municipal vehicles that collect garbage door-to-door daily.

The President emphasized that the full cooperation of citizens is essential to strengthen and improve the sanitation system.

Preparation for the Next Phase

According to the administration's plan, the next phase of the special sanitation campaign is scheduled for October 1, 2026, covering wards number 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27. All concerned staff have been instructed to gather at the Bhujariya Talab Temple premises at 7:00 AM for this important task. From there, sanitation teams will be dispatched to their designated wards for cleaning activities.

The Municipal administration is continuously making active efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the city.
