Employee Found Hanging in Vidisha Field
Manish Batham, an employee posted at the Guna District Court, has died under suspicious circumstances. His body was found hanging from a tree in a field in Gram Bhagwantpur, under the Anandpur police station area of the neighboring Vidisha district, on Wednesday morning.
The Anandpur police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident. Batham, originally from Shivpuri, was serving in the Guna court. His family had formally reported him missing at the Guna police station on Tuesday.
Discovery of the Body
According to Anandpur Station House Officer Rakesh Raghuwanshi, local villagers reported a body hanging from a tree in a secluded field around 8 AM on Wednesday. Police arrived at the scene promptly.
At the crime scene, police found the deceased's motorcycle, with the registration number MP 33-4510. The district court's insignia was clearly visible on the motorcycle, confirming his identity.
Suicide Note Recovered
During the initial investigation, police recovered a suicide note from the deceased Manish Batham's pocket. This note has been seized by the police as crucial evidence.
The Station House Officer clarified that the contents of the suicide note have not been made public yet to avoid obstructing the investigation. This recovery suggests the case is leaning towards suicide.
Ongoing Investigation
The Anandpur police have taken possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Officer Raghuwanshi stated that the cause of death will be clearly determined only after the post-mortem report is received.
