Collector Conducts Surprise Inspection at Guna District Hospital
In an effort to ascertain the reality of health services at the Guna District Hospital, Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal conducted an unannounced inspection on October 15, 2026. During his visit, he was deeply displeased to find eight 108 ambulances parked and reportedly under maintenance.
Stern Action Ordered Against Negligence
Expressing his strong disapproval of this serious negligence, the Collector has directed that strict action be taken against those responsible. He also ordered that relevant employees be issued immediate notices and a letter be sent to the headquarters of the ambulance service provider company regarding the matter.
Comprehensive Review of Hospital Facilities
The Collector's inspection also encompassed a thorough review of the hospital's cleanliness, the progress of ongoing construction work, and the overall health facilities. He mandated a daily, in-depth review of ambulance services and their response times.
Ensuring Patient Welfare and Transparency
Furthermore, it was emphasized that drivers must not demand money from patients. Families were instructed to immediately report any such complaints by calling 108. The Collector also directed that the availability of oxygen cylinders be verified via video call.
Improvements in Maternity Ward and Feedback System
Particular attention was paid to the sanitation in the maternity ward, with directives issued for its improvement. To foster greater transparency in the hospital's operations, the Collector has made it mandatory to collect feedback from patients after every delivery.
Utilizing Feedback for Service Enhancement
This feedback mechanism will gather crucial information on the quality of treatment, the behavior of physicians, and the availability of facilities. Complaints received from patients will be used to identify shortcomings and ensure their prompt resolution.
Security and Construction Work Review
Additionally, the review included the hospital premises' signboards for the single service window, which were found to be disorganized and require replacement. The progress of new building construction was also assessed. The Collector instructed the concerned officials to file an FIR in connection with a previous theft incident involving the ceiling.
Inspection Team
During this inspection, Deputy Collectors Deevanshu Shivhare and Mahima Chaudhary, along with other senior hospital officials, were present.
