Violent Confrontation in Guna's Snake Charmer Settlement

A violent clash between two groups in the snake charmer settlement near Chintaharan Temple in Guna city has shocked locals. The altercation, which began with accusations of molestation and a personal dispute, resulted in four people, including a woman, sustaining serious injuries.

The injured have been admitted to the district hospital. Both sides are leveling serious accusations against each other, complicating the investigation into the incident. The situation escalated when Ramurti, a woman from Bamori Colony visiting her sister for an engagement ceremony, was allegedly molested by three youths while going to relieve herself.

Escalation and Injuries

Upon reporting the incident to her brother, Dinesh, the situation worsened when Dinesh confronted the youths. According to eyewitnesses, the youths verbally abused and attacked Dinesh with knives, axes, and other sharp weapons. When Ramurti and her elder sister intervened to de-escalate the situation, they too were attacked with sticks and weapons.

Ramurti's elder sister suffered a serious head injury, while Ramurti herself lost consciousness. Family members rushed both to the district hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Conflicting Accounts Emerge

However, the other party involved claims the fight was between family members. They allege that the dispute arose between a brother-in-law and a brother-in-law while intoxicated, leading to a broken mobile phone. An argument over repairing the phone quickly escalated into a bloody confrontation, injuring approximately half a dozen people from both sides.

Police Investigation Underway

Upon receiving information, local police arrived at the scene and took control of the situation. Police have recorded the statements of the injured and have launched a thorough investigation. Both allegations of molestation and a family dispute are being considered, posing a challenge for the police in uncovering the truth. Authorities state that evidence is being collected and the truth will be revealed soon.
