Grand Puja of 12 Jyotirlingas and Parthiv Shivlingas in Narsinghgarh

Narsinghgarh | The Cliff News | August 23, 2026 A special religious event is set to take place at the Chopra Hanuman Temple in Narsinghgarh, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday, August 26. The occasion will feature the grand worship and consecration of 12 Jyotirlingas, along with the creation of Parthiv Shivlingas.

This event promises a unique spiritual experience for devotees. The religious rituals will commence at 9 AM with the creation of Parthiv Shivlingas, followed by their consecration and a Havan (fire ritual). The entire process will be conducted under the expert guidance of Pandit Suresh Shastri. Participants, known as Yajmans, from various cities including Pachore, Biyavra, and Bhopal, will be partaking in this sacred undertaking.

Preparations Underway for Parthiv Shivling Creation

Preparations for this grand event have been ongoing for the past month. The local women's group has been diligently crafting Parthiv Shivlingas daily, with various Yajmans regularly performing consecration rituals. This continuous effort marks a significant step towards the culmination of the main ritual on August 26.

Parthiv Shivlingas, made from clay or other natural materials, are considered highly sacred for special worship. Their creation embodies dedication and devotion, making them particularly significant. Members of the women's group are working tirelessly to ensure a sufficient number of Shivlingas are ready for the main puja on August 26.

Significance of the 12 Jyotirlinga Puja

This event is particularly focused on the worship of the 12 Jyotirlingas, revered in Hinduism as the most sacred and powerful manifestations of Lord Shiva. Visiting and worshipping these Jyotirlingas is considered highly auspicious.

The invocation and worship of these 12 Jyotirlingas through Parthiv Shivlingas offer devotees a rare opportunity to receive Lord Shiva's special grace and have their wishes fulfilled. Pandit Suresh Shastri emphasized that the puja will be conducted with utmost adherence to rituals and traditions, highlighting the spiritual connection and experience of divine power through Parthiv Shivlinga worship.

Conclusion of the Event and Appeal to Devotees

The day's proceedings will conclude at 12 PM with a Maha Aarti (grand worship). Following this, at 1 PM, the Parthiv Shivlingas and the created 12 Jyotirlingas will be immersed as per religious customs.

The organizers extend a heartfelt appeal to all devotees in the region to attend and participate in this meritorious event in large numbers, enhancing its spiritual grandeur. The Chopra Hanuman Temple, already a significant pilgrimage site, is expected to attract even more devotees through this event.
