Massive Janmashtami Procession in Devri, Yadav Community Stresses Unity and Education

Devri, September 4, 2026 – On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the Yadav community in Devri, Sagar district, organized a massive and grand procession. The entire town resonated with chants of 'Haathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki', showcasing the deep faith and devotion of thousands of community members participating enthusiastically.

The procession commenced from Panari village, passing through Maharajpur and major routes of Devri town. A central attraction was the beautifully adorned floats of Lord Krishna and Radha Ji, mounted on a chariot, captivating the devotees.

Community Welcomes Procession Across Town

The grand procession received a warm welcome at various points within the municipal area. At the office of former minister Harsh Yadav, the participants were honored under the leadership of his elder brother Chandra Bhan Yadav and Congress Block President Ashish Baba Rajoriya. This reception further boosted the morale of the devotees.

Additionally, the Lodhi community at Civil Line Square also extended a robust welcome, chanting slogans for Lord Krishna and felicitating the members of the Yadav community. At the Devri Agricultural Produce Market premises, Nasir Khan welcomed attendees by distributing sweets, with similar welcomes from various communities energizing the procession participants.

Main Event Focuses on Unity and Education

The grand procession culminated at the Devri Agricultural Produce Market with a main event organized by the Yadav community. The chief guest was Chandra Bhan Yadav, elder brother of former minister Harsh Yadav, and Ramswaroop Yadav was the special invitee. Several public representatives from the Devri area and a large number of community members were present.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Chandra Bhan Yadav emphasized the need for collective efforts and unity for the community's development. He highlighted the importance of making the community alcohol-free, inspiring children and youth towards education, and guiding every member towards progress. He stated that education is the most powerful tool for strengthening society.

"Education is the most powerful tool for strengthening society," stated Chandra Bhan Yadav, urging greater participation in politics and calling for a unified effort to overcome differences for the community's holistic development.

During the program, community members, with Lord Krishna as their witness, took a pledge to always work together for the community's unity, education, and development, setting a positive direction for their future.

The entire town of Devri experienced an atmosphere of devotion, joy, and spirituality, with the grand procession, captivating floats of Krishna and Radha, warm welcomes from diverse communities, and the Janmashtami event transforming the town into a Krishna-centric celebration.
