Grand Navratri-Dussehra Festival Concludes in Guna

The Navratri and Dussehra festival in the Guna region concluded grandly this year. The festival, organized by the Virat Hindu Utsav Samiti Chintan Manch, culminated with the immersion of Maa Durga's idols late into Vijayadashami night, following various programs.

This year, approximately five thousand decorated floats of Maa Durga were set up in nearly eleven hundred villages across the region, generating significant enthusiasm among devotees. A dignified honor ceremony was held at the temple located at Hanuman Chowk to mark the festival's conclusion.

Kailash Manthan, the president of the Virat Hindu Utsav Samiti, presented the 'Smriti Maa Ambe Samman Patra' to committees that decorated excellent floats, dedicated workers, social activists, and media personnel, recognizing their invaluable contributions.

A total of two hundred and fifty float pandals were awarded prizes for their superior decoration and the cultural programs presented. The program commenced with prayers to Balaji and Ram Darbar, followed by a large community feast attended by hundreds, showcasing social unity.

Cultural Significance and Social Harmony

Addressing the gathering, the founder of the committee, Kailash Manthan, stated that Indian festival traditions are the backbone of our culture. Major festivals like Navratri, Dussehra, and Ganesh Utsav hold not only religious significance but also promote organization and brotherhood in society.

He particularly emphasized that organizing society through these festivals of worshipping Shakti is the most effective path to national progress. According to Shri Manthan, the protection of the nation is possible only through the protection of religion, and such events inspire society in this direction.

On this occasion, he also expressed gratitude to all the workers and administrative staff who provided significant support in making the event successful.

This entire event, organized on the occasion of Vijayadashami, created a positive atmosphere of religious enthusiasm and social unity in the Guna region. The diversity and presentation of the floats attracted not only locals but also visitors from far and wide, ensuring this festival will be remembered as a historic event in the region.
