Grand Independence Day Ceremony in Bhopal on August 15th, CM to Hoist Flag

Preparations Finalized for Grand Independence Day Celebration

The 79th Independence Day will be celebrated across the nation with great fervor on August 15th. In Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the main ceremony will be held at the Lal Parade Ground, where Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be the chief guest and will perform the flag hoisting.

On Thursday, final preparations for this significant event were underway, with a full-dress parade rehearsal taking place. Additional Director General of Police, Mr. Chanchal Shekhar, was present at the Lal Parade Ground for the full-dress parade and final rehearsal of the Independence Day ceremony.

Senior Officials Oversee Preparations

During the full-dress rehearsal, a thorough inspection of all arrangements related to the ceremony was conducted to ensure no shortcomings on August 15th. Senior officials reviewed the parade and other logistical arrangements.

The following senior officials were present to review the arrangements: Additional Director General of Police Mr. Chanchal Shekhar, Additional Director General of Police Mr. Solomon Yash Kumar Minz, Divisional Commissioner Bhopal Mr. Karambir Sharma, Police Commissioner Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Inspector General of Police Mr. Harinarayan Chari, Inspector General of Police Mr. Irshad Wali, Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Omprakash Tripathi, Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Commandant 7th Battalion Mr. Hitesh Choudhary, and other senior officials. They meticulously reviewed the program venue, security arrangements, parade readiness, and other logistical aspects.

During the rehearsal, Head Constable Mr. Rajmani Singh Baghel of the 7th Battalion acted as the chief guest, symbolically hoisting the flag, inspecting the parade with the national anthem, and reading a message. The event concluded with the parade dispersion.

Extensive Participation in Rehearsal Parade

The rehearsal parade was led by SDOP Sehora, Jabalpur, Mr. Aditya Singharia of the Indian Police Service, with City Superintendent of Police Singrauli, Mr. Hemant Kumar of the State Police Service serving as the Assistant Parade Commander.

A total of 22 contingents, including the Police Band, participated in the joint rehearsal parade, showcasing the grandeur of the Independence Day celebration. These contingents included:

The participation of various forces made the parade even more impressive.

Medal Ceremony Rehearsal and Announcers' Roles

Following the symbolic message reading, 47 officers and employees awarded with the President's Medal rehearsed receiving their medals from the chief guest. This was to ensure a smooth process during the actual ceremony.

Additionally, the Parade Commander and platoon commanders of all participating contingents practiced introducing themselves to the chief guest, a crucial formal step. The Independence Day ceremony will be compered by renowned announcer Mr. Vinay Upadhyay and senior police officer Ms. Pratima Mathew, whose skilled announcements will add to the event's appeal.

During the rehearsal, arrangements for citizen movement, security, traffic management, parking, and other facilities at the stadium were meticulously checked. Senior officials from the Police Headquarters, District Administration, and Bhopal Police were present for the occasion.
