According to Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, the Visakhapatnam facility will be the company’s largest AI hub outside the United States, featuring:

• Gigawatt-scale compute capacity

• Proprietary TPUs (Tensor Processing Units) that are twice as energy-efficient

• Local data storage to comply with sovereign AI requirements

• Deployment of Google’s AI models, including Gemini, Imagine, and Veo
