Jewelry and Cash Allegedly Stolen from Residence
A resident of Khadauwa village, within the Nawabganj police station area of Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, has lodged a complaint alleging the theft of precious jewelry and cash from her home. The complainant, identified as Rajkali, has pointed fingers at a local youth from the village, suspecting him of the crime.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday evening. According to Rajkali's complaint filed with the police, the theft took place when she was away to offer condolences at another villager's house, and her children were at school. Upon returning home in the evening, she discovered that a box in her room was open and its contents scattered.
Details of Alleged Stolen Items Emerge
The complainant detailed the stolen items as including a silver waistband, anklets, a gold chain, earrings, a 'matarmala' (a type of necklace), a nose ring, and bangles. Additionally, one thousand rupees in cash was reportedly missing from the box. Rajkali's husband works as a laborer in Mumbai, and while she was not alone at home during the incident, the alleged theft occurred specifically within her residence.
Police Investigate with Skepticism
Nawabganj Station House Officer Mrityunjay Singh confirmed receiving information about the incident. He stated that the police are currently treating the complaint as suspicious, expressing the possibility that the woman might be making a false accusation against the youth due to personal animosity.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the police are focused on gathering evidence related to the incident. Villagers are closely observing the situation and awaiting the police's findings.
